Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) was a well known late-Victorian ear adventure novel writer. He is best known for his classic King Solomon's Mines where he introduced the central character Allan Quatermain, on whom Indiana Jones is said to have been based on, and who also featured in the comic book series, A League of Gentleman. Haggard's non-fiction work most involved writings on agriculture. A prolific writer, 15 of which involved Allan Quatermain, a sample of his fiction books are shown below.
