Michael Palin (1943-) is a well known English comedian, TV personality and author. He is famous for being a member of Monty Python and has gone on to appear in a large number of travel-based TV series, for which he also writes an accompanying book. Palin was awarded the Edward Stanford Award for Outstanding Contribution to Travel Writing for 2016 and has a website at www.themichaelpalin.com.
