John Cody Fidler-Simpson (1944-) is an English foreign correspondent who has worked for more than 40 years for the BBC reporting from more than 120 countries, including thirty war zones. He was awarded the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his reporting endeavours and an international Emmy for his report on the fall of Kabul. In addition to three novels, Simpson has written 12 non-fiction books.
